Kölners and Düsseldorfers love to hate each other. This fierce regional rivalry stretches back for years and includes parades, football, beer, and even Christmas Markets. On this trip from Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation you will spend your morning exploring the five different markets in Cologne, underneath the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland. Sample regional specialties like Blutwurst (black pudding), Himmel un Ääd (Heaven and Earth), Halver Hahn (No, its not chicken) and the local specialty, Kölsch bier, a style brewed only in Cologne.

But your day isn't done yet!

After a short warm up on our bus, you will find yourself in Düsseldorf, where seven more unique markets await you. Explore the different landscapes in this well known toy-town and sample the specialties like Reibekuchen (Potato pancakes and applesauce), Senfrostbraten (Roast Steak and Mustard), and Düsseldorfer Alt-Bier - an often copied style, but only truly available in Düsseldorf.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations requested 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
  • There is no refund for no-shows or cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to departure.
     
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
